We are glad to make you happy: our route is good because there is no need to carry food for all the days of the trip. Today we take food with us only for the next five days (weight about 4.5 kg). From the confluence of the rivers Kichkinekol and Ukchulan, the walking part of our trekking begins. We put on backpacks - and go! The trail winds through the coniferous forest, very near the river rustles. And on the horizon there is an array of Gondarai and snow-white peaks of the Main Caucasus Range. On a night stop near the shepherd's cat. The active part of the route: 3.1 km, elevation difference 1580-2120 m, the duration of the route is 3-4 hours.
Lower Ullu-Kelskie lakes - Hitche-Kul - Ullu-Kel. Today we have a very lake day! We rise in the upper reaches of the river Kichkinekol and get into the real country of lakes. The lower lakes are small in size. Like bright, colorful drops, they are scattered across the valley. Today, our camp is set up near Lake Gietche-Köhl. From here we walk lightly to the lake Ullu-Köhl, whose name translates as “Big Lake”. Ullu-Köl is one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in the Gwandra region. The length of the lake is 650 meters, can you imagine? :))) A huge, calm, piercing blue lake. Modest daisies and bright pink mountaineers adorn its shores. Near the lake we rest and enjoy the beauty! The active part of the route: 4.5 km, elevation difference 2120-2650 m, the duration of the route is 5 hours. Roughly to the lake Ullu-Kul: 2.8 km, elevation 2650-2830 m.
The Nizhny Ullu-Kul Pass (to / from, 2900 m) is the valley of the Trekhtozernaya River. In the morning we gather camp and go up to the Lower Ullu-Kul pass. From here, a completely new species opens: the massif of Kursho, Aktur, Nahar and the upper reaches of the Dzhalpakola valley are perfectly visible, where we will go in a few days. Go ahead! Ahead is the Trekhezernaya river valley. Here are three large, very picturesque lakes. Nature gave these lakes a stunning blue, azure and emerald green. All lakes lie on the same straight line, at an equal distance from each other and give rise to the three branches of the Trekhozernaya river. On the shore of one of the lakes, we set up our camp. The active part of the route: 4.7 km, elevation difference 2650-3090-2920 m, the duration of the route is 6-7 hours.
Light walks on the lakes of the Trekhozernaya River. Today it is worth waking up early and admiring the dawn in these places! In the morning, the sun rises smoothly and colors the tops of the mountains in pink colors, replaced by golden light. Beauty! ;)) After breakfast, we walk lightly along the picturesque Trejozery. In July, the landscape near the lakes is decorated with flowering rhododendrons, and in August you can find blueberries and lingonberries here. Although this area is called Trehozerye, in fact there are as many as five lakes here! The active part of the route: 4.8 km, elevation difference 2920-3150 m, the duration of the route 4-5 hours.
Tregozerye - hostel "Globus". In the morning we descend from the mountains to the green valley of the river Mahar. On the way we go to the Mahara Narzans. Here ice mineral water runs out of the ground! Mahara narzans are one of the largest mineral springs in these places. We try narzan and go further to the Globus tourist center. The camp site is located in a wonderful place. Around the coniferous forest, mountains and very close to the purest river. On the territory of the camp site there is a bathhouse, and local hostesses prepare wonderful chichini with potatoes, cheese and meat :)) Let's try them for sure! The active part of the passage along the route: 8.4 km, elevation difference 2920-1720 m, the duration of the transition 5-6 hours.
Hanging Valley North Dzhalpakol. From the pass over the lake Ullu-Kul from afar we have already seen the valley of Dzhalpakola. It's time to get to know these places closer! In the morning we are going to camp and leave the Globus hostel. We go along the river Gondarai, and then we go up the valley of the river Dzhalpakol. Coniferous forests are gradually disappearing, and in front of us opens a green valley with alpine cows)). We choose a convenient place and stop for the night. The active part of the passage on the route: 9.3 km, elevation difference of 1720-2310 m, the duration of the transition 6 hours.
Dzhalpakolskie lakes. Today we rise a little more - and we are on our way. Before us is a whole group of colorful Dzhalpakolkih lakes! After setting up the camp, we walk lightly on the lakes, swim and enjoy the beauty. If the weather permits, then we will climb higher, to the MAO pass, or to the Cherenkol observation peak. The active part of the route: 4.2 km, elevation difference 2310-3110 m, the duration of the transition 5-6 hours.
The confluence of the South and North Dzhalpakol. We descend down to the confluence of the South and North Dzhalpakol rivers. During the whole trip we cook on gas. And here, in the valley of Jalpacola, you can already find some firewood and make a nice, farewell bonfire. The active part of the route: 4.2 km, elevation difference 3110-2310 m, the duration of the transition 5 hours.
Chalet "Globus" - Nevinnomyssk. Early in the morning we gather camp and descend down the valley of the river Dzhalpakol. Near the tourist center "Globus" is completed on foot part of our route.
