Our journey begins from Chelyabinsk.
Friday evening - at 16:45 am going to the office of the company and set off on a comfortable bus to the Satka district. The starting point of our rafting in Mezheva settlement is the final settlement of Lakly. (Bashkiria). Ai in translation from the Bashkir "moonlight" or "bright as the moon".
The same route of rafting along the Ai River passes between two borders, so we will be located on the territory of the Chelyabinsk region, then in Bashkiria - and this is one of the interesting features of this route. The nature that can be seen during this trip is unique in its own way, it bewitches with its beauty and leaves an unforgettable impression.
So, after four hours of traveling by bus, we arrive in the village of Mezhevoi, on the parking lot to the river bank. Here we set up a campground, have dinner and gain strength before the rafting.
The morning of the second day. After breakfast, we collect things, put on life jackets, get the safety instructions and the rules for managing the catamaran, and start off with instructors.
The first half of our journey passes by one of the most famous sights of the Ai-Prityos River (Small and Large). It is noteworthy that the term "pries" is regional and is prevalent, mainly in the Southern Urals; comes from the words "huddle" and "cliff", and is used to denote a high stony precipitous shore, rocky cliffs and coastal cliffs, as well as in proper names, for example - Big and Small Prichy on the Ay River, about which our speech will go .
Small Prichy (which is also called Yuldashkin crest) are on the left bank of the river and begin immediately after the rapid rolling. The height of the rocks is 60-80 m. The rocks face north, thanks to which are covered with moss and lichen.
Not far from the Lesser Pristuses, behind another rollback there is one more interesting place - the Alekseevsky log, received its name in honor of the homonymous village - Alekseevka. Widely known as the "Dry Waterfalls". During rafting along the river, Alekseevsky log is not available for review, so we make a stop and make a small pedestrian crossing. Dry waterfalls are a natural natural staircase that leads to a small lake. The difference in altitude in this place is from 3 to 8 m. Sukhodol (or a gully, dry or with a temporary watercourse river valley) is most beautiful in the spring, when melted water flows through it, thereby turning it into a real waterfall. In the summer, during our alloys, it is dry. This is where the name "Dry Waterfalls" came from.
The next attraction that opens to us along the course of the rafting is the Great Prichy - scale (about 100 m) cliffs. In Bolshiye Pristyos there are several caves, including the Grotto Junos, which we see on the course of our route. Only the climbers can get there, descending to 26m along a vertical steep rock. The entrance to the grotto is at a height of 56 m. The cave was discovered in 1970 by speleologists from different cities of the Chelyabinsk region under the guidance of S.M. Baranova.
After large damages, we stop at a parking lot near the Sikiyaz-Tamak cave complex. Sikiyaz-Tamak is one of the most rare phenomena in the world practice. In the caves, archaeologists discovered the environments of ancient people, materials from all historical eras from the Paleolithic to the Iron Age, bronze and silver items. In addition, here were found the bones of ancient animals: mammoth, woolly rhinoceros, broad-horned deer, primitive bison, cave bear, hyena, lion.
And in the evening, when it's time for a well-deserved rest, we are waiting for a delicious dinner and a field bath - everything that will help to relax and rest before the final jerk.
The next day, during the rafting, in addition to beautiful views, we are faced with another attraction - an artesian fountain. Perhaps you already were at such a fountain in the Zyuratkul national park. In our tours we visit it in the winter, when an ice dome of azure color sets above it. In the summer, during the alloys, we can observe an interesting, but more modest in size analogue - the height of the Ayski fountain is only 3 meters. Interesting is the fact that the origin of the object is not natural, but anthropogenic. In the late 60-ies of the XX century in the Southern Urals, geologists were exploring the terrain in search of fossil fossils. It was for these purposes that such wells were drilled.
That's it! Our next point is the village of Lakla, where lunch and a bus await us, which means it's time to return. I want to believe that everyone has taken something from this trip: he has overcome new boundaries of his capabilities, made new discoveries and received impressions that will remain for a long time in memory. Until next time!
